Recently I activated the WordPress mobile-theme (under Jetpack) for my food and travel website. After some research online, I managed to find out how to add Google Ads in the mobile-friendly website. This article will show you how I did it.
Go to your web hosting control panel. For me it’s cPanel.
Open the “File Manager” for your domain.
Here’s where you have to navigate through lots of folders.
wp-content –> plugins –> jetpack –> modules –> minileven –> theme –> pub –> minileven
Inside the “minileven” folder, select the php file which you want to insert the ads. For me, I inserted one 320 x 50 ad in the header.php file and two 250 x 250 ads in the comments.php file.
For the header.php file, I inserted my ad just above the below lines
<meta charset=”<?php bloginfo( ‘charset’ ); ?>” />
For the comments.php file, I inserted my ads just above the below lines
<?php if ( post_password_required() ) : ?>
As usual, feel free to ask any questions in the comments section below. Hope you found this article useful!
